Mary Alice Stolsenberg

Mary Alice Stolsenberg, age 99, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 3:35 p.m. at the Court House Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on October 24, 1913 in Bainbridge, Ohio to Charlie and Cindra Myers Knisley. She had worked at the Jackson Glove Factory, Orner’s Grocery and also Beulah Wagner’s Catering Service. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herbert M. Stolsenberg Sr., sisters Ruth Huff, Alva Knisley, Sara Karns and Kathryn Lower, brothers Thomas, Everett, Wesley, Clifford, Orville, Herman and Edwin Knisley.

She is survived by her son Herb Jr. (Mary) Stolsenberg; grandchildren Bruce (Lorena) Stolsenberg, Susan Hamilton and Scott Stolsenberg and his fiancé Bettina; great-grandchildren Laura (Brian) Hottinger, Tony (Staci) Hamilton and Brett Hamilton; great-great-grandchildren Derek (Rubie) Hottinger, Breanna Easter, Matthew Hottinger, Lilly Hamilton and Jack Hamilton; great-great-great-grandchildren Allie, Landon and Aayden Hottinger and Evan and Branden Easter as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Everett Miller officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Sharon K. Shotsky, age 69, of Wilmington, OH, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at her home in Wilmington, OH.

She was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Olaf Couch and Olga Vanover Couch.

Surviving is her daughter, Kimberly D. Walker, of Washington Court House, son, Russ D. (Olaya) Walker Jr. of Wilmington, 6 grandchildren, Zach (Emily) Vance, of Washington C.H., Andrea Vance, of Arizona, Cali Walker, Loveland, Paula Walker, Olaya Walker, and Carlos Walker. Also surviving is a Brother, Alex (Gerry) Couch of Morrow, sister, Pat Corzatt of Smyrna, TN, and Brother, Curt (Karen) Couch of Clarksville. Other survivors include nieces and nephews, Gail Hutchins, Hillsboro, Judy Huff, New Vienna, Jim Caplinger, New Vienna, Crystal Couch Adams, Cincinnati, Ron Corzat, Huntsville, AL, Christine Corzat Almonrode, Murfreesboro, TN, Tim Corzat, TN, Bart Couch, Carlisle, OH, Melissa Pinkerton, Clarksville, Stacy Keeton, Waynesville, and Dixie Whetsell, of S.C. and Angie Badish, of Ohio D.T. & Effie, special friends, Lynn Spaeth, Phylis Clark, Shirley Giust, and Sheryl Reinsmith.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by husband, M. Douglas Shotsky, who died December 2, 2012, a sister, Elaine Kelly, a niece, Alexa Couch, and a nephew, Richard Caplinger.

Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dan Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in the Martinsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Martinsville, Ohio.

Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH Friday, December 28, 2012 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

William Howard Wilson

William Howard Wilson, 83, of Washington C.H., Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Fayette County Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since Thursday.

Bill was born May 12, 1929, in Fayette County, Ohio to Walter and Mary Busick Wilson and was a lifelong resident of this community.

Before his retirement in 1993, he was a mechanic for Phillip’s Rent-All. Following his retirement he helped area farmers.

Bill was a member of the Waterloo Church of Christ in Christian Union and had served in the Ohio National Guard.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Roger and Jeffrey Wilson and a brother and two sisters.

Bill is survived by his wife, the former Patricia Ann Lewis, whom he married June 6, 1982; a daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Rick Cooper of Leesburg, OH; a son, Jim Wilson of Washington Court House; two step children, Lisa Webb and her husband, Wayne, of Washington Court House and Phyllis Louderback and her husband, Roger, of Xenia; six grandchildren, Scott (Andrea) Wilson, J. P. Plymire, Wade Plymire, B. J. Wilson, Brandon Wilson and Ashley Wilson and six great grandchildren, Erick, Kyra and Lance Wilson and Gracie, Will, Walker Plymire.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation took place and there will be no visitation or funeral. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in the Highlawn Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.

Roma Edith Wollscheid

Roma Edith Wollscheid, 80, of New Holland, Ohio died Friday, December 28, 2012 at 1:59 p.m. at her residence. She had been in failing health seven months.

Mrs. Wollscheid was born August 14, 1932 in Wiesbaden, Germany to Fredich and Catherine Diehl. She moved to the United States in 1951 and to Washington C.H. in 1981 from Dayton, Ohio.

She was formerly co-owner with her husband of Rancher’s Roast Beef in Washington C.H. She had been a model and a dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance Studio.

She was a member of the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church.

Mrs. Wollscheid was preceded in death by a her husband, Franz Anthony Wollscheid in 2010; by a son, Kurtis Louis Alcala in 1991; a granddaughter, Laura Ashley Gatton in 2012; a son-in-law, Richard Lochbihler in 2011 and a brother and a sister.

She is survived five children, Michael Alcala and his wife, Linda, of Sacramento, CA, Charles Alcala of Atlanta, GA, Fred Wollscheid and his wife, Susan, of Washington C.H., Monique Dawson of Port St. Lucia, FL and Jacqueline Lochbihler of Washington

Court House; eleven grandchildren, Sydney and Nic Wollscheid, Amanda Boggs, Patrick, Hillary and Madison Dawson, Stephanie, Zachary, Christopher, Jason and Joshua Alcala; six great grandchildren, Tylor, Teah and Chloe Penny, Landyn Driscoll, Rayli Gray and Alexia Alcala and a sister, Inge Oliver of Binghamton, NY.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Wollscheid was cremated.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Bloomingburg Cemetery with the Rev. Father Jimmy Hatfield, pastor at the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Diabetic Association, P.O. Box 1018, Washington Court House, Ohio 43160.

Martha E. (Marty) McCoy

Martha E. (Marty) McCoy, 82, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Monday, December 31, 2012 at 1:15 p.m. at her residence.

Marty was born September 23, 1930, in Fayette County Ohio to Henry Dean and Rosa Olinger Engle. She was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School and a lifelong resident of this community.

She was an award winning professional photographer and owned and operated McCoy Photography from 1965 until her retirement in 2009. She was a lifetime member of the Professional Photographers of Ohio and the National Photographers Association.

Marty was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Edwina Augustus and a brother, Dean Engle.

Marty is survived by her husband, Glen I. McCoy whom she married on March 30, 1948; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Bill Hayward of Bowling Green, OH; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Sherry McCoy of Blue Springs, MO; six grandchildren, Melinda (Chris) Hayward-Hauch of Columbus, Scott (Cheryl) Hayward of Columbus, Ashley (Chris) Collins of Sylvania, OH, Lindsay McCoy of St. Louis, MO, Chase McCoy and Keaton McCoy both of Blue Springs, MO; a great granddaughter, Bentley Collins and a sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Larry Bishop of Washington Court House.
The funeral will be Friday, January 4, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington C.H. with the Rev. Mick Whistler, pastor at the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomingburg Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 6-8 p.m.

Jacob Denson (Jake) Ladd, Jr.

Jacob Denson (Jake) Ladd, Jr., 65, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 4:04 p.m. at his home following a seven month battle with a brain tumor.

Jake was born February 9, 1947 in Rainsboro, Ohio to Jacob Denson and Florence Lucille Collins Ladd. He was a 1965 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School in Greenfield and lived most of his adult life in the Washington Court House community.

Before his retirement, he was in car restoration. He was a car enthusiast and belonged to several car clubs.
Jake was a member of the Grace Community Church and was an Army veteran of the VietNam war.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jake is survived by his wife, Gamma Lee Ladd whom he married December 12, 2007; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and John Dodds of Hillsboro; three nephews, (John) Mark Dodds and his wife, Lisa, of Amelia, Tim Dodds and his wife, Sharon, of Loveland and Chris Dodds and his wife, Michele, of Washington Court House; several grand nieces and nephews and two sisters-in-law, Gil Stoer and her husband, Bill, of Hilliard and Carlene Lazenby of Buford, SC.

The funeral will be Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Grace Community Church with pastors Jay Lucas and Sean Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Grace Community Church from 4-8 on Thursday.

William ‘Bill’ A. Kline Sr.

William ‘Bill’ A. Kline Sr., age 66, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 9:30 p.m. at the Court House Manor Nursing Home.

He was born on November 30, 1946 in Alexandria Bay, New York to Harry and Isabell Heath Kline, both deceased. He had worked for many years at Hobart in Hillsboro and Mac Tool of Washington CH. He was a US Air Force veteran during the Vietnam era. He graduated from Clayton High School of New York and he enjoyed cooking, gardening, trains, music and reading, especially old cook books.

Survivors include his children William (Laura) Kline Jr. of Lewis Center, Joey Kline, Angie Lankford and Amy Stulley all of Sabina; grandchildren Ava, Dylan and Anessia; former wives Pat Hahn and Pam Kline.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Queen officiating with burial to follow at the Good Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Judith “Judy” Butcher

Judith “Judy” Butcher, age 75, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012 at her home.

She was born on December 27, 1937 in Fayette County to John and Susie Howland Butcher. She had worked at Craig’s Department Store for many years and also as a custodian at Grace Methodist Church for over 17 years. She was a 1956 Wayne High School graduate, a member of the Southside Church of Christ and the Loyal Disciples Sunday School Class. She enjoyed reading and collecting angels.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Isaac, Raymond, Charles, Carey and Jim Butcher and sisters Ludene Haines and Nellie Jane Jarrett.

Survivors include her sisters Freeda Edwards, Mary (David) Beoddy and Clara Jean Mullikin; sisters-in-law Sib (Don) Yahn and Shelven Butcher as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Southside Church of Christ with Ray Vance officiating with burial to follow at the Greenfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the Summers Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. and again at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Roberta Eileen Seymour

Roberta Eileen Seymour, 72, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 1:06 a.m. at Fayette County Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since Sunday.

Mrs. Seymour was born January 16, 1940, at Glouster in Athens Co., Ohio to Bert and Ruth Morrison Murvay. She was a 1958 graduate of West High School in Columbus and attended The Ohio State University. She moved to Washington Court House in 2001 from Orient, Ohio.

She had formerly worked at Ferguson Plumbing Supply in Hilliard and, before her retirement, she was a food stamp clerk for Fayette County Human Services.

Mrs. Seymour was preceded in death by her father on November 24, 1965.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas C. Seymour whom she married February 20,1959; a daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Greg Harvel of Mt. Sterling, Ohio; a grandson, Logan Harvel; her mother, Ruth Murvay of New Albany and two brothers, Charles Murvay of New Albany and Rodney Murvay and his wife, Elsie, of Athens, Ohio.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Arrangements for a memorial services are being completed and will be announced later by the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.

Memorial contributions, to benefit the intensive care unit, may be made to the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Foundation, 1430 Columbus Avenue, Washington Court House, Ohio 43160.

Lawrence Wood

Lawrence Wood, 68, of Xenia, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at 8:30 p.m. at Greene Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since Monday.

He was born December 5, 1944, in Hamilton County, Ohio to Kathryn Wood.

Larry lived in foster care until 1981 when he began receiving support services from Toward Independence, Inc. He worked at Greene, Inc. and attended both Xenia Church of the Nazarene and Spring Valley Christian Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his foster parents, Fred and Mabel Jacobs.

Mr. Wood is survived by his loving and faithful housemates, Sonny Kersey, Teddy Musselman and Phillip Griffey and numerous members of his Toward Independence family.

The funeral will be Monday, January 7, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 1204 West Second Street, Xenia, Ohio with the Rev. Harold Horton, pastor at the church, officiating. A private burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Carl Everetts

Carl Everetts, age 68, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 4:38 p.m. at the Fayette County Memorial Hospital.

He was born on December 15, 1944 in Madison County to Dave and Mary Gobel Everetts. He was previously employed as a roofer with the Richard Snodgrass Construction Company. He enjoyed fishing.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents as well as ten brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his brother Leroy Everetts as well as nieces and nephews Brenda (Javier), Bobby (Lisa), Dennis (Tammy) and Marylou as well as eight great-nieces and nephews and ten great-great-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Chaplin Jim Kiger officiating.

Ann Mossbarger

Ann Mossbarger, 88, of Bloomingburg, died Sunday, January 6, 2013, at 12:02 a.m. at her residence.

Ann was born March 24, 1924, in Greenfield, OH to Harry and Blanche Watkins Curtis. She lived her early life in New Vienna; was a 1940 graduate of New Vienna High School and received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from The Ohio State University in 1945. While at Ohio State, she was the first female business editor of The Lantern, the school newspaper. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and remained an active lifetime member.

She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church where she was a member of Faith Circle of the United Methodist Women and for many years taught Sunday school and the Bethel Bible Study. She enjoyed 50 years in her bridge club with her special friends.

On September 8, 1945 she married Dr. Donald E. Mossbarger and assisted him throughout the years with his veterinary practice and later with Midland Acres, while also rearing five children. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children JoAnn Sedgwick of Cincinnati and her friend, Terry Cross, Dr. John Mossbarger and his wife, Kyle, of Washington Court House, Jeannie Bihl and her husband, Steve, of Bloomingburg, Jay Mossbarger and his wife, Brenda, of Washington Court House and Jan Cobb and her husband, Glen, of New Holland; eleven grandchildren, Jodi (Matt) Chandler of Shelbyville, KY, Jamie (Kyle) Butts of Upper Arlington, Jill (Chris) Cottrill of New Holland, Jason (Mary) Bihl of Washington Court House, Jon (Nicole) Bihl of Nappanee, IN, Jennifer (Sam) Cathey of Warrior, AL, Justin Bihl of Bloomingburg, Jake Mossbarger of Washington Court House, Jackie Cobb of Lexington, KY, Jenna Cobb of Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL and Josie Cobb of New Holland; ten great grandchildren and three additional great grandchildren soon to be born.

The funeral will be Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church in Washington Court House with the Rev. Mick Whistler, pastor at the church, and Mell Wickensimer, director of visitation, officiating. Burial will follow in the Bloomingburg Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.

Kendell Lee Penwell, age 46, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 5:40 a.m. at the Court House Manor Nursing Home.

He was born on April 11, 1966 in Columbus to James and Carolyn Harper Penwell. He had worked for Montgomery Security. He was a 1984 Miami Trace High School graduate and enjoyed playing video games.

Kendell is survived by his parents and his children Cassandra Shope, Damian VanDoren and Destiny Penwell.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 6-7 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home.

Willa Jean Coulter, age 77, of Washington CH, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 12:35 p.m. at the Court House Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on September 6, 1935 in Adams County to J. Russell and Mildred Lawrence Tener. She had worked at the Hagerty Shoe Factory, BancOhio formerly known as First National Bank and retired from the Fayette County Recorder’s Office. She was a 1953 graduate of Franklin High School of Locust Grove, was a member of the Heritage Memorial Church where she had been active in the choir and Sunday School serving as the class secretary. She enjoyed flowers, ceramics, piano, playing softball on the BancOhio league and especially loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a member of the BPW Association and the Washington Band Boosters.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Claude Coulter, sister at infancy Juanita, brother-in-law Charles Lindsey and son-in-law, Don Rayburn.

Survivors include her daughters Deborah (Eddie) Williams of South Solon and Brenda Rayburn and special friend Dion Snyder of Washington CH; grandchildren Kathy Jo Ervin and her fiancé Jeff Daugherty and Elise (John) Brown; great-grandchildren Amethyst and Willow Brown; sisters Glenna Lindsey of Washington CH, Martha “Mike” (Eugene) Herdman of Peebles and Elizabeth “Libby” (Bob) Fulton of Hillsboro as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Church with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Dorothy McNutt

Dorothy McNutt, 96, of Washington C.H., died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 5:40 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Manor where she had been a resident since December 23, 2012.

Mrs. McNutt was born July 3, 1916 in Fayette County, Ohio, the youngest of six children, to Ellis and Flora Coventry Fletcher. She was a 1934 graduate of Washington High School and was a lifelong resident of this community.

She had formerly worked in the cafeteria at Washington High School and at Craig’s Department Store.

Mrs. McNutt was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl McNutt on January 29, 1989; by two brothers, William and Richard Fletcher and three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Campbell, Ruth Frederick and Louise Lloyd.

Mrs. McNutt is survived by two children, Sue McCoy and her husband, Jerry, of Washington Court House and Randy L. McNutt of Warren, Michigan; five grandchildren, Luanne Penwell and her husband, Jack, of Washington Court House, Michael Smith of Columbus, Jackie Myers and her husband, Mike, of Washington Court House, Becky Garvin and her husband, Keith, of Clarkston, MI and Laura McNutt and her friend, Brian, of Waterford, MI; six great grandchildren, Jennifer Steen and her husband, Brandon, of Boston Mass., Justin Penwell of Washington Court House, Alexis Rood and Tyler Rood of Washington Court House, Katilyn Garvin and Ben Garvin of Clarkston, MI.; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pat and Maynard Leeth of Washington Court House and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Friday, January 11, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Mell Wickensimer, director of visitation at the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.

Rodney Alan “Buddy” Bauer, 64

Rodney Alan “Buddy” Bauer, 64, of South Solon, Ohio died Friday, January 12, 2013 at his home.

Rodney was born March 28, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio to Orville Charles and Esther Charlene Groves Bauer. He was a graduate of Brookhaven High School and lived most of his life in Columbus before moving to South Solon nine years ago.
Before his retirement he was a truck driver.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, J. Richard “Dick” Snodgrass.

He is survived by his wife, the former Charlene Edmonds; two children, Charlie Bauer and his wife, Jennifer, of Baltimore, Ohio and Cathy Bauer and her fiancée, Doug Ellison, of Columbus, Ohio; five stepchildren, Erica Kazee and her husband, Paul, of Mount Sterling, Ohio and Laura Linton of Hilliard, Ohio, Tom Grosh and his wife, Connie, of Worthington, Ohio, John Grosh of Columbus, Ohio and Rick Grosh and his wife, Linda, of Delaware, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Brandon, Jessica and Nicholas Bauer, Tiana Ellison, Nathan and Nicholas Kazee, Chelsea Cramlet, Nathan, Scott, Griffin, Spencer and Gabriella Grosh; a sister, Bonnie Snodgrass of Washington Court House, Ohio; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Tammy Edmonds of Washington Court House, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with the Rev. John R. Gray, pastor at the Bookwalter Church of Christ in Christian Union, officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.

Phyllis Jean Wells, age 58, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 8:20 p.m. at her home.

She was born on August 23, 1954 in Fayette County to Samuel and Marietta Goldsberry Redden. She enjoyed her daily soaps, camping, fishing and the outdoor life. She was a 1972 graduate of Washington High School.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sharon Redden.

Survivors include her husband, Harry Wells; son Michael Shawn Wells; grandchildren Kalab and Micca Wells; siblings Patricia (Hayden) Ferguson of North Carolina, Samuel (Linda) Redden of Texas, Terry (Ruthann) Redden of Washington CH; David Redden of Columbus, Brenda (Ron) Mickle of Washington CH and Bonnie (Joe) Callahan of North Carolina; special niece and nephew Jacob and Chloe Redden as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of friends, including special friend, Sandy.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Chaplin Dean Queen officiating.

Grace Lee Caulley, 75

Grace Lee Caulley, 75, of Washington C.H. died Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 7:59 p.m. at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville where she had been a patient one day.  She had been seriously ill since June.

Mrs. Caulley was born September 26, 1937, in Bloomingburg, Ohio to Norval Ellsworth and Bertha Martha Allen Butcher and was a lifelong resident of this community.

She had formerly worked at Monty Montgomery’s service station and Garner’s Truck Stop.  She retired in 2007 as a claims representative for the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services.  She had been an Avon representative over 30 years and was a member of the Avon President’s Club.

Mrs. Caulley was preceded in death by her husband, Glennie Clifton Caulley on September 21, 2008; by her parents; two brothers, Norval E. Butcher and the Rev. Leo Butcher and three sisters, Clarabell Penwell, Leolla “Sis Butcher” Lucas and an infant sister, Sarah Ellen.

She is survived by four sons, Raymond (Buck) Caulley and his wife, Rita, Randy Caulley and his friend, Yvonne Williamson, and Daryl Caulley and his wife, Kathy, all of Washington C.H. and Wendell Caulley and his wife, Janet, of Hilliard, OH; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Bill Davidson of Bradenton, FL; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Ricky) Taylor, Buckie (Amanda) Caulley, Heather (Brian) Massaro, Krissy Petitt, Brad Caulley, Jay Caulley, Jeff Caulley and Ryan Caulley; ten great grandchildren, Brittany (Josh) Beverly, Melissa Lee, Sienna and Brodie Caulley, Olivia Stallard, Elizabeth, Nicole, Amber, Samantha and Brittany Caulley; two great great grandchildren, Harper Beverly and Ryan Rutherford; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives.

The funeral will be Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington C.H. with Todd Maurer, minister at Crosswoods Church and the Rev. Lynn Jackson, pastor at the Bible Baptist Temple, officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at Jeffersonville.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 p.m.

Lenora Mae Cupp, 85

Lenora Mae Cupp, 85, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Thursday, January 17, 2013, at 3 p.m. in Washington Court House.  She had been in failing health.

Mrs. Cupp was born January 4, 1928, in New Holland to Clarence and Gertrude Tatman Wallace.  She lived most of her life in Pickaway and Fayette Counties.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Cupp, Jr. on October 27, 2002, and  a sister, Helen Coleman.

Mrs. Cupp is survived by two sons, Bryan Cupp and his wife, Janet, with whom Mrs. ,Cupp made her home, and Joey Cupp, all of Washington Court House; three daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Ron Spangler of New Holland, Sandra and Tom Hall of Washington Court House and Connie and Doug McPherson of Beavercreek; six grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, Clarence R. and Janet Wallace of Washington Court House.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the New Holland Cemetery with Ray Vance, minister at the Southside Church of Christ, officiating.  Burial will be under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington C.H.

There will be no calling hours.

Mary E. Crabtree, 93, of Jeffersonville passed away at Country Glenn Nursing and Therapy Center January 18, 2013. She was born November 7, 1919 to the late Alex and Bertha Parker Turner in Breathitt, Kentucky.

She was employed as a hostess for Wendy’s Restaurant for 8 years and prior to that at the Truck Stops of America for 20 years as a cashier. She was a member of the Jeffersonville Church of Christ and enjoyed working in her yard and garden and being around people.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin “Woody” Crabtree in 1964, five brothers, Edward, Herbert, Monroe, Silas and Everett Turner, and two sisters, Bernice Spicer and Ida Deaton.

She is survived by her son, Don (Carolyn) Crabtree of Chillicothe, two daughters, Blanche (Dick Robinson) Michael of Jeffersonville and Joan (Lee) Butcher of Washington C.H., two sisters, Miami Jean (Pappy) Fox and Geneva Herald both of Franklin, Ohio, six grandchildren, Jeff (Cheryl) Crabtree, Eric (Trudi) Crabtree, Greg (Lori) Crabtree and Nikki (J.D.). Dunn, Chris Brown and Missi (Doug) Taylor, 12 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and friends and a special friend, Annie Huff of Jeffersonville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Morrow Funeral Home, in Jeffersonville with Pastor Tom Knauff, Jeffersonville Church of Christ officiating. Friends may call at the Jeffersonville Funeral Home on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
