Malcolm Edward Haggard, 65, of Logan, Ohio died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 12:25 a.m. at his residence following a brief illness.
Malcolm was born September 23, 1947 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Edward W. and Lucille Campbell Haggard. He was a 1965 graduate of Miami Trace High School and lived most of his life in New Holland until moving to Logan two years ago.
He worked at DuPont in Circleville for 35 years until his retirement in 2003.
Malcolm was a Viet Nam veteran of the U. S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Malcolm is survived by his wife, the former Claudia Jo Haines whom he married November 25, 1994; by four children, Angie Reisinger and her husband, Michael, Kathy Entrekin and her husband, Andrew, all of Washington Court House; Kendra Miller and her husband, Kevin, of Tarlton and Cody Bowen and his wife, Jamie, of Washington Court House; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Myron Haggard of Greenfield; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nadine and Terry Sidle of Ontario, CA and Annette and Lloyd Hill of Circleville; his good friends, Debbie and Zack Wade of Logan; several nieces, nephews and cousins and his closest companion, his golden retriever, Titus.
The funeral will be Monday, April 1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland. Burial will follow in the New Holland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home in New Holland from noon Monday until the time of the service.
