Mary A. Wilson, 64

Mary A. Wilson, 64, of Springfield, passed away at her residence in Springfield, Ohio on Saturday March 30, 2013. She was born July 3, 1948 to the late Ralph and Anna Marie Newland Carr in Columbus, Ohio. She was married to Dale E. Wilson. Mary retired in Feb. 1995 after 25 years of service from the Hill’s Dept. Store in Springfield.

In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Jeffery (Kathy) Wilson of Lafayette IN, one daughter Teresa (Phillip) Severt of Springfield, one brother Ralph (Dortha) Carr Jr. of Washington C.H., one sister Susan Riley of Washington C.H., two grandchildren Tiffanie (Andrew Perkins) Powell and Heather (Adrian) Craven and two great grandchildren Evelynn and Draven.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 4, at 11:00 AM at the Morrow Funeral Home Jeffersonville. with Reverend Mike Hodge officiating. Burial will be in the Hidy Cemetery. Friends may call at the Morrow Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 4-8PM.

Roger M. Damron, 60, of Troy, died unexpectantly at his home on Thursday, March 28, 2013.

He was born on March 5, 1953 in Leesburg, Ohio the son of Helen J. Smalley Damron of Wilmington and the late Roby Damron.

He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1971. He was actively involved in many ministries and spreading the gospel all of his life.

He is survived by his mother, his two sons Scott (Kelly) Damron, Heath, Ohio and Michael (Marina) Damron, Yuma, AZ, grandchildren Kari, Joshua, Tyler, Marissa and Anthony, siblings Richard (Brenda) Damron, Martinsville, Dixie (Ed) Stone, Kokomo IN, Connie (Jeff) McKenzie, Wilmington and Greg (Cindy) Damron, Wilmington. Also survived by his former wife and good friend, Pamela G. Bell. He was preceded in death by his father, Roby and his sister Carolyn Norris and his brother Tom Damron.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2PM at the Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Leesburg.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 until 8PM at the funeral home.

Marie Wilson, 92

Marie Wilson, age 92, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 6:25 a.m. at her home.

She was born on September 1, 1920 in West Virginia to Clark and Dorothy Casto Harris.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Albert Wilson Jr. and siblings Iva Quigley, Myrtle Shafer and Walter Harris.

Survivors include her husband Wilbur Wilson, whom she married on March 21, 1944; her children Linda Phillips of Washington CH and Albert Sr. (Delia) Wilson of Texas; grandchildren Cindy Campbell, Richard Phillips and Teresa Elliott; great-grandchildren Makinzie Campbell, Justin Elliott, Josh, Ashley and Katie Phillips and great-great-grandchild Aubrey Keeton; siblings Lillian Bauman and Bill and Jane (Robert) Adams as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

William M. Junk, 95

William M. Junk, 95, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 8:10 a.m. at his residence.

Mr. Junk was born April 16, 1917 in Washington Court House to Troy Thomas and Lorena Beard Junk.  He was a 1934 graduate of Washington High School and a 1938 graduate of Miami University where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.    He received his Juris Doctorate law degree from the University of Cincinnati.  He had served in the secret service of the FBI.

He was an attorney at law and served as city attorney for Washington Court House for twenty years.  He was a member of the American, Ohio and Fayette County Bar Associations and had served as president of the Fayette County Bar Association.

Mr. Junk was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church; was a former member of the Washington Lions Club and was a long time member of the Washington Country Club where he was an avid golfer.

On April 26, 1947, he married the former Frances A. Smith.  She preceded him in death on December 18, 2010.  He was also preceded by his parents and a sister, Janet Baer.

He is survived by three children, Jeannette Segel and her husband, Harold, of Tucson, AZ; Martha Gerhold and her husband, Morgan, of Grandview, Ohio and William T. Junk and his wife, Leslie, of Upper Arlington, Ohio and six grandchildren.

A private family service will be held in the Judy Chapel at Washington Cemetery with Pastor Mick Whistler, minister at the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery.

There will no calling hours.

The family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Foundation, 1430 Columbus Avenue, Grace United Methodist Church, 301 East Market Street or Hospice of Fayette County, Inc., P.O. Box 849, Washington Court House, Ohio  43160.

Charles William “Bill” Berlin

Charles William “Bill” Berlin of Colony Cove, Ellenton, Florida, formerly of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013 in Ellenton.

He worked at Bill Marine Ford as a salesman for over 39 years. Many may also remember him as a livestock transporter, hauling 4-H animals to and from the Clinton County Fair and the Ohio State Fair in one of his big red semi-trucks with “Bill Berlin Trucking” on the cabs.

He was a member of the Wilmington Elks Lodge and an avid bowler in their leagues.

Bill was born at home on the family farm on Berlin Road, August 18, 1921 to Ralph Kenney Berlin and Charlotte Josephine (Reynolds) Berlin, and grew up farming with his father, Ralph and brother Bob. He was a 1939 graduate of Wilmington High School, chosen as the senior boy of his class to attend the 1939 World?s Fair in New York City.
In 1943 he married Alice Faye Strider and they had two daughters, Tameria Sue and Teresa Ann.

Bill is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ruth Thompson Berlin, his daughters, Tammy and husband Mark McKay of Wilmington and Terri and husband Tom Kale of Bowling Green, Ohio. Stepsons, David Hardwick and Linda of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Scott Hardwick and fiancé Agueda of Austin, Texas, and stepdaughter, Mary Jane and husband Steve Rusevlyan of Ashburn, Virginia.

Grandchildren, Tracy (McKay) and husband, Stuart Maguire of Batavia, OH, Kristin (McKay) and husband Cale Burke of Hilliard, OH, Allyson (Kale) and husband Matthew Harmeling of Lexington, KY, Aaron and Leslie Kale of New Albany, OH, and Andrew and Maya Kale of Waterville, OH. Step-grandchildren, US Air Force Captain, Ashley Hardwick currently serving in Afghanistan, Taylor Hardwick of Virginia Beach, VA, Brittany Rusevlyan of Arlington, VA, and Brett Rusevlyan of Ashburn, VA. Great grandchildren, Archer Maguire, Alexandra, ?Lexi? Burke, Bennett Kale, Henry Kale, Jack Kale and Clayton Harmeling. Brother Robert and sister-in-law, Betty Berlin, nephew Tony (Donna) Berlin and niece Leslie (Berlin) Michael Nichols and a great niece and nephew.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 with services at 2:00, Saturday afternoon, May 4, 2013 at Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina burial will follow in the New Antioch Cemetery.

Raymond Harper Tope, 92

Raymond Harper Tope, 92 of Springfield, Ohio passed away on April 8, 2013 at the Springfield Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 25, 1920 to the late Roy and Lillie Harper Tope in Liberty Township, Jackson County , Ohio
Mr. Tope was a CPA employed by North American Aviation in Columbus, Rocketdyne in Los Angeles, and then National Acceptance Corp. He was a graduate of the former Midway High School in Sedalia. Mr. Tope was a 32nd Degree member of the Valley of Columbus, AASR, a member of Jeffersonville Lodge #468 F&AM and was a dual member of Chandler Lodge #138 of London.
He was a member of the Church in Self Realization Fellowship of Los Angeles, California. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Corsette in April of this year and a nephew, Vic Tope.

He is survived by his brother, James M. (Barbara) Tope of Range, OH, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service with a military service on Saturday, April 13, at 11:00 a.m. at Range Township Cemetery, Midway with Raymond L. Tope officiating.

Don R. Queen, 71

Don R. Queen, 71, of Washington C.H., passed away April 7, 2013 at the Mt. Carmel West hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born January 8, 1942 to the late Harold Franklin and Anna F. Patterson Queen in Gallipolis, Ohio.

He was a laborer and retired in 1988 from Cartwright Salvage.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Harold, Jr. and Glenn Queen.

He is survived by one brother, Homer Queen and a sister, Edna Queen both of Washington C.H., several nieces and nephews including Angie (Jim) Estle, and Diane (John) VanDyke,, Sandy Queen and Annett DeBarr all of Washington C.H.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m at the Washington Cemetery with Danny Dodd officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Morrow Funeral Home in Washington C.H

Roberta Theobald Case, 77

Roberta Theobald Case, 77, of Greer, SC passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at her home.

Mrs. Case was born December 1, 1935, in Washington Court House, Ohio to Ralph R. and Jessie Edythe Coffey Theobald.

She was a 1957 graduate of The Ohio State University School of Nursing. She was a Clinic/ER Nurse with Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA; ICU/Premature Nursery at Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati and was a school nurse with the Greenville County School System.

She was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Greenville, SC and the Quester Sunday school class. She was a member of the Antique Toy Club of America.

Mrs. Case was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward “Bill” Case on Feb. 13, 2012 and by a daughter, Karen Leslie Case in 1975.

She is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Case Canady and her husband, Michael, of Gallipolis, Ohio, Susan Martin of Simpsonville and Michelle Raustis and her husband, Robert, of Ft. Inn, SC and seven grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher and Robert Canady, Michael James “M.J.” and Jadyn Martin and Xander and Xaiver Raustis.

In Greenville, a funeral will be held Friday, April 12, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church where the family will receive friends prior to the service.

In Washington Court House, a graveside service will be held Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Washington Cemetery will Mell Wickensimer, director of visitation at the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.

Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 6-8 p.m.

Betty M. Moran, 80

Betty M. Moran, 80, of New Vienna and a longtime resident of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 9, 2013, in Clinton Memorial Hospital.

Born April 14, 1932 in New Vienna, the daughter of Marion Leroy and Virginia Louise Price Stanforth.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews including Sherry (Paul) Hughes of Wilmington and several great nieces and nephews including Shannon (Mike) Smart and their children Courtney and Cameron, of Wilmington.

Betty’s siblings include, Leonard Stanforth, Jim Bartlett, Pam Oross, Jim and Roger Stanforth, Pat Trouth, and Brenda Riedmiller.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Harriett Patterson and Marian Lee Burbage and a brother Richard.

No services are scheduled as Mrs. Moran?s request. Private interment will take place at a later date.

Littleton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Cathrine “Cadie-Jo” Johnson

Cathrine “Cadie-Jo” Johnson’s soul left this earth on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. She was 22 years old, born July, 24, 1990 in Ross County to Anthony Johnson and Anddrea Downing and resided in Washington Court House at the time of her unfortunate and unexpected death. While most of her education was at Paint Valley High School, she was a graduate of Washington Senior High.

She is survived by parents, Anddrea and Scott Downing, and Anthony Johnson, as well as her sister, Chanelle Johnson, and grandparents Frank and Shirley Johnson of Chillicothe. Her surviving aunt and uncles include Keith & Lisa Mason of Port Charlotte, Fla.; Tammy Caler of Eaton; Troy & Chae Mason of Jacksonville, Fla.; Jamie Richards of Denver, Colo.; Bambi and Steve Spires of Chillicothe and Steve and Jackie Johnson of Chillicothe. She left behind more than 25 cousins with whom she was particularly close; her nephew Braxton, whom she addressed as B, he adored the aunt that she was to him. We would be remiss in honoring her memory if we failed to mention her greatest love and loyal feline companion, Kaos, who is lost without his master. She would want us to mention those friends that were closest to her, who touched her and made her feel loved and special, and those lives that she touched in return. The list is too long to mention by name. We are confident you know who you were to her.

Cathrine was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James and Maxine Hart and her paternal uncle Davey Johnson and her cousin Shannon Keith Mason.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Keller officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Cremation will follow.

B. Evelyn Hanes, 85, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at 11:35 a.m. shortly after arrival at Fayette County Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Hanes was born February 29, 1928 in Vinton County, Ohio to Charles L. and Nora Rebecca Justice French.  She lived most of her life in this community.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Willis Henry on January 25, 1988, and Donald Edward Hanes on March 13, 2010; by a daughter, Nancy McKinney on January 2, 2010; two grandchildren, Joshua Charles Evans and Theresa Jones; three brothers, Estel, Elmon and Ora French and two sisters, Dorothy Morenes and Lura Belle Clear.

Mrs. Hanes had been a member of the Fayette County Commission on Aging.

She is survived by two children, Carole Haines and her husband, Stephen, of Sabina and James Steven Henry and his wife, Betty, of Indianapolis, IN; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and three sisters, Nelda Skaggs and her husband, Bill, of Chillicothe, Stella Jones of Paulding and Edna Estep and her husband, John, of Chillicothe.

Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House Tuesday, April 16, 2013, from 4-8 p.m.

Cremation will follow the visitation and a graveside service will be held at a later date in the Highlawn Cemetery.

Clifford E. “Geno” Carmen, 63

Clifford E. “Geno” Carmen, age 63, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 6:12 p.m. at his home.

He was born on July 18, 1949 in Ironton to Walter and Sylvia Friend Carmen. He had worked at Mid-Ohio Chemical for 10 years and at R&C Rivers Farms for more than 20 years. He enjoyed farming and was an honorary member of the Steel Reveille.

Gino was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edward Carmen.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Newton Carmen, whom he married on February 17, 1969; his children Wayne (Crystal) Carmen, Sherry Carmen and Lori Bennett and friend T.J.; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; siblings Larry (Lisa) Woods, Harvey (Donna) Woods and Carolyn (John) Harden and special friend Eddie Bennett. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Don Olley officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-6 p.m.

Marie Swiney, age 88, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 5:55 p.m. at her home.

She was born on January 7, 1925 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Clarence and Bessie Twigg Hunt. She had worked all of her life as a homemaker. She loved to crochet and enjoyed nature. She was a member of the Miller Methodist Church.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Bessie Hunt, her husband Preston Swiney and siblings Allen, Myron, Clarence Jr., Opal, Joanne and Lottie.

Survivors include her daughter Mary, and her husband Billy Overfelt; grandchildren Marla (Jeff) Fullen, Jeri (Andy) Matheny and bonus granddaughter Connie (Steve) Sparks; great-grandchildren Gretchen Fuller, Christopher Riegel, Holly Riegel and Grant Fuller; siblings Sue (Rock) Leach and Patty (Cobert) Salyers as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Scioto Burial Park in Lucasville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

J. Phillip Brown

J. Phillip Brown

Phil Brown, age 63 of Circleville died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. Phil was born September 29, 1949 in New Holland, son of the late Harold Brown and Anna (Marvin) Brown of Washington C.H. He was a graduate of Miami Trace High School, class of 1967.

Phil began his law enforcement career in 1967 as a dispatcher with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, and continued in that position until December of 1968.

In January 1969, he became employed by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office as a dispatcher.

In September of 1971, Brown became a commissioned officer with Pickaway County, and received his Ohio Peace Officer training at the Chillicothe Training School.

In 1972, he was assigned as a Deputy in the patrol division and served in that capacity until 1976 when he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and transferred to the Detective Bureau. Then in 1986, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, and was made Commander of the patrol, detective and communications divisions.

During his tenure with the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, he attended Northwestern University for accident reconstruction and major crime scene investigations. He also attended Case Western University for major search and seizure crimes.

He attended numerous schools and seminars sponsored by the FBI and the Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association.

Phil has been involved in numerous homicide investigations resulting in many convictions.

In 1984, he was selected as Officer of the Year by the “Hall Adkins, American Legion Post 134″ in Circleville, Ohio. In 1992, he was selected as the “Blue Coat of the Year” by the Knights of Columbus, and went on to receive the “Blue Coat of the Year” by the Columbus Diocese.

In 1998, Brown received “Deputy of the Year” award from the VFW Post 3331 in Circleville, Ohio; he has received numerous other awards and recognition from various organizations.

On August 1, 2001, Brown retired from the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, and on January 23, 2003, he was sworn in as a commissioned Deputy Sheriff with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office as a Corporal.

He was a member of the Pickaway Lodge #23 F. and A.M., Washington Shrine Club, Circleville Elks Lodge, Circleville Moose Lodge, Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association, Scottish Rite, Alladin Temple AANMS Columbus.

He is preceded in death by his father and step son Christopher Strawser. He is survived by his mother; wife Mary (Schultz) Brown; children Emily (Jason) Otterbacher of Ashville, Steven (Rebecca) Brown of Williamsport, Johnathan Strawser of Circleville and Amanda (Chad) Pine of Mt. Sterling; grandchildren Ryan Otterbacher, Regan and Paige Strawser, and Wade Pine; brother Dan (Carol) Brown of Atlanta.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013 in The Maxwell Center at the Ohio Christian University, with Rev. Joy Stanforth and Dr. Doyne N. Wiggins officiating. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Circleville. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the The Maxwell Center at the Ohio Christian University.

Gary D. Kellenberger, age 75, of Sardinia, Ohio passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center.

He was born on September 2, 1937 in Ross County to Dana H. Sr. and Helen Imler Kellenberger. He proudly served his community as a Lieutenant on the Washington CH Fire Department worked in the Corrections System for the last several years. He proudly served in the US Marines Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Good Hope High School, past member of the VFW, American Legion and the Elks. He was known for his “green thumb”.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Suzanne Kellenberger, Linda Stone, Joy Anderson, Royce Kellenberger, Dana H. Kellenberger Jr. and Carl Kellenberger and brother-in-law Rick Wilson.

Survivors include his children Robert (Stacy) Fridley of Las Vegas, Gary Jr. (Debbie) Kellenberger of Massachusetts, Steven (Lori) Kellenberger of New Holland and Dana (Shonda) Kellenberger of Sardinia; grandchildren Shawn, Tiana, Cameron, Keeager, Connor, Keira, Garrett, Rebecca, Jennifer, Jonathon, Haley, Peyton and Preston; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings Larry (Flo) Kellenberger, Trisha Klock, Sharon (Tony) Hicks and Deidra Wilson; special friend Esther Hayward as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The graveside committal service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Good Hope Cemetery with Danny Dodds officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Fayette County Veterans Service Center, 133 S. Main St. Suite L-11, Washington CH, OH 43160 in his memory.

Rhonda Marie Sutton, age 48, of Bloomingburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 2:52 p.m. at the OSU Medical Center.

She was born on September 8, 1964 in Fayette County to Ron “David” and Ruth Leach Cox.

She was formerly employed by the Eagles Lodge for eleven years. She was a 1982 Washington High School graduate and was a member of the American Legion Post #25 and the Eagles Arie #423. She enjoyed crocheting.

Survivors include her parents, her husband Pearl W. “Bill” Sutton, whom she married on May 10, 1990; her children Heather M. Sutton of Washington CH and Lance W. (Roxanne) Sutton of Pennsylvania; grandchildren Andrew, Kennedy, Aiden, Rylan “Big”, Alexander, Ashton and Jerzee Sutton and soon to be expected granddaughter Katie Sutton; brother David R. Cox; niece Cori Cox; special cousin Tina Hartley Glass; special friends Beverly Mongold and Andy Lachat as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grace Community Church with Dryden Martin officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Loren E. Noble, 94

Loren E. Noble, 94, of Washington C.H., died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 9:41 a.m. at the Country Glenn Nursing and Therapy Center where he had been a patient since April 4.

Mr. Noble was born March 28, 1919, in Bloomingburg, Ohio to Walter Parker (Bud) and Juanita Pauline Harmison Noble. He was a 1937 graduate of Bloomingburg High School and lived most of his life in Bloomingburg and Washington C.H.

He and his father owned and operated the W. P. Noble & Son John Deere Farm Equipment Company in Bloomingburg for many years before moving the operation to Washington C.H. and renaming it The Greenline Equipment Company.  He retired in 1978.

Mr. Noble was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was formerly a member of the Bloomingburg Lions Club.  He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Rebecca Jane (Becky) Coffey on February 9, 2009; by a brother, Cloyd L. Noble and a sister, Wilma (Beannie) Yardley.

Mr. Noble is survived by three children, Penny Cowdery of Westerville; Carol Evans of Grandview and Brad Noble and his wife, Becky, of Washington C.H.; eight grandchildren, Celeste Cowdery, Cammy Reader, Tisha Rapol and Jeffrey David Evans, all of Columbus, Christine Nickles of Marysville, Richard Evans of Tampa, FL, Tracy Smith and Amanda Moody, both of Washington C.H. and 14 great grandchildren.

The funeral will be Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Washington C.H. with the Rev. Everett L. Miller, pastor at the church, officiating. Cremation will follow the service with burial of the cremains at a later date in Washington Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington C.H. Monday from 4-8 p.m.

Kathryn E. “Cathy” Stephens, 89

Kathryn E. “Cathy” Stephens, age 89, of Sabina, formerly of Washington CH, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 4:45 p.m. at the Autumn Years Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born on March 1, 1924 in Washington CH to Elmer and Nellie Poland Lowe. She was a devout Christian. She was a member of the Trinity Full Gospel Church of Sabina and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #3762. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and cooking.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Marsha Schneider, four brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include her children Sherry Jenkins of Florida, David (Jewelene) Gunder, Tommy Gunder both of Dayton, Tony Stephens of Columbus, Patricia (Mike) Cramer of Lebanon, Angela (Mark) McDonald of Georgia and Tereasa (Bill) Downing of Sabina; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren including Gabe; one great-great-grandchild; siblings Preston (Priscilla) Lowe, Vernon (Betty) Lowe, Caroline Binion as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Carey Hilterbran officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Georgia M. Marshall, 73

Georgia M. Marshall, age 73, of New Holland, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 5:25 a.m. at the St. Ann’s Mt. Carmel Hospital.

She was born on December 17, 1939 in Knox County, Kentucky to George F. and Rachel Wright Goodman. She retired in 1997 after 18 years of service for the State of Ohio (OSLAC). She was a graduate of Forge Ridge High School. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in

Tennessee. She was also a member of the Buckeye Rod Builders and enjoyed traveling to car shows especially to Pigeon Forge. She loved spending time with her family and was very involved in her grandchildren’s activities. She was an OSU Buckeye football and basketball enthusiast and enjoyed NASCAR.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Valerie Manning, granddaughter Nicole McConnell and brother Ronald T. Goodman.

Survivors include her husband Terry L. Marshall, whom she married on December 19, 1970; children Dwayne (Kim) Manning of Columbus, Stephanie (Randy) Halverson of Minnesota, Tara (Steve) Harrington, Todd (Deidre) Marshall both of Washington CH; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; siblings Phyllis Givens, Danny (Jeannie) Goodman; sister-in-law Nancy Goodman; mother-in-law Dorothy Marshall as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 3-7 p.m.

Judith Elaine Eubanks, 60

Judith Elaine Eubanks, age 60, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013 at her home. Death was sudden and unexpected.

She was born on June 10, 1952 in Fayette County to the late Robert and Francis Jinks Hyer. She was a member of the Washington CH McNair Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her daughter Hesper Capehart; grandchildren Dustin Eubanks, Cody Eubanks, Leigha Bruce, Ostin Capehart, Aubrey Capehart and Lilly Capehart; great-grandson Elijah Eubanks; brother Donald Hyer and sister Shirley Hannah all of Washington CH and her former husband, William Eubanks of Hillsboro as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow with a private memorial service to be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the funeral home on behalf of the family.
